As your Wedding Day Preview appointment is approaching here's some helpful details to ensure you have the best experience possible.

Makeup Previews

Feel free to come with or without makeup, however you feel most comfortable.  Please bring your makeup bag with you as this gives us a good idea of what sort of products you are familiar with and the type of coverage you're used to.  

​Don't worry we have plenty of our own products to use, we also just like to have a little nose in case you have any new wondrous products that we haven't yet discovered (we are a little bit makeup obsessed!!)

Hair Previews

It's best to wash your hair the night or day before as it makes it a lot easier to hold a style.

Freshly washed hair tends to be a bit fly away and too slippery for styling.  If you can't resist washing it on the day of your appointment, please just skip the conditioner on this occasion and make sure that your hair is fully dried before your appointment.

Please bring with you any hair accessories you'd like us to try out together with your veil (if you are having one).

Photo Ideas

Have ready some images for ideas if you have not already uploaded them to your Booking Form.

Pinterest is a great tool for this. Try to select images that are of a similar skin tone, hair colour and length to your own.

It's also really useful to have to hand images of your wedding dress and bridesmaids or groomsmaids dresses too so that we can get a good idea of the overall feel for the wedding style you are going for.

If you are planning on tanning before your big day and not yet had a chance to soak up some sun, it's a good idea to have a spray tan before your Preview so that you have a true idea of what your makeup will look like on your wedding day. 

Preview Duration and Payment

Please refer to your invoice which is personal to you on your Client Portal and make payment at least 24 hours before your appointment.

If we find we need longer for your appointment to try out more looks or styles we can always arrange to book in a second appointment.

Bringing a Plus One (or Two)

Most of our appointments currently take place in an informal setting either at the Artists or Stylists home salon or studio or sometimes in your own home. We will have confirmed this to you via email and also uploaded all of the information to your Client Portal.

​If you're coming to us and would like to bring a friend or family member with you, please advise us beforehand and we can let you know if this is possible, dependant on space.  Whilst we love a game of Twister this isn't always the best idea at your wedding hair and makeup preview!
​

What to Wear

It's a good idea to wear a plain coloured top ideally in a similar colour (and neckline if poss) to your wedding dress or outfit. This is especially important for makeup previews.
​

​Cancellations

​We understand sometime things crop up and you may need to reschedule your appointment.  Please advise us ASAP.  

We reserve the right to charge for last minute cancellations or missed appointments.  
​
Unfortunately we can not guarantee availability of a rescheduled appointment at a suitable time to you during the busy wedding season. ​
​
