Makeup Previews

• Feel free to arrive with or without makeup.  Whichever feels most comfortable to you.

• Bring with you your most commonly used makeup products so that we have a good idea of what your must haves are and the type of coverage you're used to.  

• Don't worry if you're not used to wearing makeup and don't have a lot to bring. We have plenty of our own skincare + makeup to use.   

• We love to have a little nose and check out any wondrous new products that we haven't yet discovered (forgive us but we can be a tad makeup obsessed!!)

Hair Previews

• It's best to wash your hair the night or day before as it makes it a whole lot easier to hold a style.​ 

• Freshly washed hair tends to be a bit fly away and too slippery for wedding hair styling.  

• If you can't resist washing it on the day of your appointment, just skip the conditioner on this occasion and make sure that your hair is fully dried before your appointment.

• ​Don't forget to bring with you any hair accessories you'd like us to try out together with your veil (if you are having one).

​

Your Hair & Makeup Ideas

• It's a good idea to have a few images to hand, especially if you haven't already popped them onto your Booking Form so that we have a plan B as well as a plan A.​

• Look out for hair and makeup on people with a similar skin tone, hair colour or hair length to your own.

• Or why not jump on the bandwagon for fun and see what ChatGPT recommends...

• ​Photos of your wedding dress and maids' or groomsmaids' outfits are also super handy to help us understand your overall vibe.​​

Planning on Tanning?

• If you've not yet had a chance to soak up some sun, it's a good idea to fake tan before your Preview Appointment so that you have a better idea of what your makeup will look like on your wedding day. 

Preview Duration & Payment

• Head over to the invoice section of your Client Portal to view your current invoice(s).
• ​Please make payment at least 24 hours before your appointment.

If either of us feel you’d benefit from extra time to explore a second look or style, we can look to arrange a second appointment or organise a video call to discuss this — whatever works best for you.

Bringing a Plus One (or Two)

• Most of our appointments take place privately so you can rest assured you'll have a relaxed and informal 2 to 1 or 1 to 1 experience either at the Artists or Stylists home salon or studio or in your own home.

• You'll have received an email from us once a date has been booked in. You can also view all of the information on the 'events' section on your Client Portal.

• ​If you'd like to bring a friend or family member with you, please advise us beforehand and we can let you know if this is possible, dependant on space.  Whilst we love a game of Twister this isn't always the best idea at your wedding hair and makeup preview!

What to Wear

• It's a good idea to wear a plain coloured top ideally in a similar colour (and neckline if poss) to your wedding dress or outfit as this makes it easier to envisage how you'll look on your big day.

​Cancellations

• Sometimes things crop up and you may need to reschedule your appointment.  If you find yourself in this scenario - please advise us ASAP.  

​

• We reserve the right to charge for last minute cancellations or missed appointments.  

​

• Unfortunately we can not guarantee availability of a rescheduled appointment at a suitable time to you during the busy wedding season. ​
